Lisa started Ballet at just 3 years old and continued to train at The Royal ballet school, Arts Educational and English National Ballet, until the age of 20. Lisa was introduced to Pilates mat classes and the reformer as part of her training. She was taught by Alan Herdman and introduced to the Alexander technique from the age of 12.
Lisa is now a qualified Pilates mat instructor and trained Barre teacher. Lisa gained her qualifications with Barreworks studio in Richmond, Futurefit and is now looking to train further with Body Control Pilates.
Lisa started taking Pilates classes soon after giving up Ballet and it has seen her through three pregnancies and a knee injury. She trained to become an instructor while pregnant with her second child and has now been teaching for 5 years.
Due to her intense Ballet training, Lisa has a very good eye for correct posture and alignment! She also enjoys being out in nature, music and spending time with her family.
