The following Terms and Conditions go through how to use Surbiton Pilates Studio and our website. Please take a few moments to read.

I. THE STUDIO – Terms and Conditions of Use

1. The Basics

1.1 The “Studio” means Surbiton Pilates Studio 34a Victoria Rd, Surbiton KT6 4JL.

1.2 “Member” means you after you have completed and submitted the Surbiton Pilates Studio registration form and we have accepted your registration.

1.3 The Terms and Conditions are incorporated into the Registration Form.

1.4 We reserve the right to change or revoke the Terms and Conditions from time to time. We will notify you of any changes, which will be binding.

1.5 The Terms and Conditions will be governed by the laws of England and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.

2. Membership

2.1 We have discretion whether or not to accept you as a member.

2.2 We reserve the right to expel you from the Studio, suspend you for a specific period or refuse to renew your membership. We would only expel you if we believe your conduct is such that we believe that you may hurt yourself, someone else or the Studio. Expelled Members cease to be Members and will not be entitled to any refund for any period during which the membership is suspended.

2.3 If a Member brings a guest to the studio for a session, that guest must become a Member before the start of the session.

3. Studio Opening Times

We publish the timetable at surbitonpilates.com/timetable. We make an effort to keep changes on the timetable to a minimum, but we are allowed to change it at any time.

4. Payment Terms

4.1 Our price list is available either at surbitonpilates.com or directly from the studio. We can change the prices at any time for new purchases.

4.2 Members pay for their passes to sessions before attending. We have individual passes and passes for multiple sessions. We sometimes run promotions or specials and we are allowed to make changes to those as well.

5. Fitness and Health

5.1 Pilates and Barre are strenuous activities. You should not attend the Studio without seeking medical advice if you have any health concerns about doing Pilates. The Studio reserves the right to refuse your access if, in our absolute discretion, we consider that your health may be endangered by the use of the Studio.

5.2 You are required to follow the instructions of the instructor.

5.3 You are required to tell us if they you have an injury or medical condition that was not list on your registration form.

6. Limitation of Liability

6.1 We are not responsible for any particular session, instructor and/or item of equipment not being available for whatever reason. We make changes to the sessions, instructors and/or equipment, and any ancillary facilities without notice and in our absolute discretion. The Studio will not be liable for any loss occasioned by such alterations.

6.2 It is your responsibility to ensure that you are healthy enough to attend a session and you accept the risk of injury from performing exercises.

6.3 The Studio accepts no liability for loss or damage to your property or for injury while on the studio premises or outside the studio except insofar as such loss, damage or injury is by law incapable of exclusion.

7. Use of Facilities

7.1 You are entitled to use our facilities during the times listed on the timetable. We may withdraw all or part of the facilities for alterations or maintenance. We will try to give notice if the timing of the work is in our control. If beyond our control, we can withdraw all or part of the facilities without notice.

7.2 Children under the age of 16 may not use the studio.

8. Personal Belongings

8.1 Personal belongings are brought onto the studio premises at your own risk and we do not accept liability for any loss or damage to such items.

9. Dress, Safety and Hygiene

9.1 We requested that you wear appropriate dress to Pilates or Barre sessions. We recommend that you wear stretch pants or shorts and a T-shirt or sports top. You should wear socks. “Grippy” socks are best suited to Pilates and Barre and we have them available for sale in the Studio. Footwear should be removed in the reception area, before you go into the equipment room or the mat studio.

9.2 In the interests of safety and hygiene, no crockery or glass are permitted outside the reception area. Only water is permitted in the equipment room or the mat room. Guide dogs are welcome, no other pets are permitted.

9.3 No smoking.

10. General

10.1 Let us know of any change of your home address or your email address. If you don’t update your addresses, we will assume you have received any communications from us within five days sending to you.

10.2 The Studio may communicate with you by email. By providing an email address to us, you consent to receiving email communications from us, including notices pursuant to the Terms and Conditions. You also accept the risk that email may not be a secure and confidential means of communication. We will not be liable for any loss or damage suffered as a result of communicating with you by email.

10.3 The Studio owns the intellectual property it creates, the Surbiton Pilates Studio trademark and makes other educational and proprietary information available to Members. Members have no claim on any of the intellectual property owned by the Studio. Sometimes, we use photographs of classes on our website and on social media platforms. Let us know if you do not consent to your image appearing in the Studio’s promotional material.

10.4 Your membership does not confer to you any proprietary interest in the Studio.

10.5 You are required to give at least 24 hours-notice to the Studio before cancelling a class from a class. The system will not let you unregister within 24 hours of a scheduled class. If you know that you will not make a class, do let us know by email or phone. Unless someone else takes your spot, you will be charged the full amount for that class, regardless of how you paid for it or whether is part of a package.

If you use the site, you are agreeing to the following terms and conditions. You should also take a look at our privacy policy. These terms and conditions and the privacy policy govern Surbiton Pilates Studio’s relationship with you relating to the site.

The content of the site is for your general information and use only. We can change things without notice. We don’t warrant or guarantee that everything on the site is accurate timely, complete or suitable for you. We keep the site as updated as we can, but neither the Studio. By continuing to use the site, you acknowledge that you understand we sometime have inaccuracies or errors and we expressly exclude liability for any such inaccuracies or errors to the fullest extent permitted by law. We will work with you when you visit the Studio, so please understand that it is your responsibility to ensure that any services or information available through the site meet your specific requirements. The site contains material that is owned by or licensed to us. This material includes, but is not limited to, the design, layout, look, appearance and graphics. Reproduction is prohibited other than in accordance with the copyright notice, which forms part of these terms and conditions.

From time to time the site may also include links to other sites. The links are provided for your convenience to provide further information. They do not signify that we endorse the other site(s). We have no responsibility for the content of the linked site(s).

Unauthorised use of the site may give rise to a claim for damages and/or be a criminal offence. Your use of the site and any dispute arising out of such use of the site is subject to the laws of England and Wales.
